Rose -- Another JENNIFER REBECCA cross! Congratulations to you, too. Maybe we'll begin to get some more nice progeny.
I don't think the chances of October-sprouting seedlings surviving your Missouri winter are very good, Rose. You might try bringing some into a not-too-warm environment, if you have one, and letting others sit out with a mulching of a couple of inches of pine straw, just to see if they'll make it that way. And I'd want the pots sitting below ground level, too, so the roots don't freeze. -- Griff

I made 88 successful crosses this year, all have at least one reblooming
parent. Seed count was good and all are planted in pots at this time. I
did get a small pod on Violet Miracle x Jennifer Rebecca-11 fully formed
seeds. I cross by color, pedigree and impulse-hopeful crosses for color,
vigor and rebloom-Eternal Bliss x Tenderly; Pearls of Autumn x After the
Dawn, Stellar Lights x Lace Jabot, Sugar Snaps x Candy Rock (ib's), Rodeo
Star x Blatant, Dawn of Change x Ringo, Edith Wolford x Final Episode. EW X
FE was a just before I left for convention cross and the only successful
cross with FE I made this year. I just planted Copper Classic last fall, it
had one beautiful bloom stalk and I crossed it with Hoosier Pride pollen,
only on take but 25 good seeds and am wondering just what it will throw. I
am hoping for better germination this year, some of last years pots were
sprouting seedlings in mid October, what a suprise. Will they live through
the winter outdoors sprouting that late or will I need to move them indoors?
