I remember when I was first introduced to growing iris (not that long ago),  
someone told the tale of a grower who tossed his unwanted rhizomes out in the  
alley, and what a great display of blooms he had the next year.  When  people 
know how easy they are to grow, how difficult to kill, and what great  blooms 
you get, they should be more interested in trying them.  The details  can 
come later.
