That's an inch more than we have.

I'm not sure we ever had as much as 6" on the ground at one time all
last winter. If we did, it didn't happen until at least mid-Feb AFTER
we had already had sub-zero temps for the first week or so of Feb with
no snow cover at all.

Mine aren't blooming any earlier, though bloom season might be
extending a bit later than usual. Or it might just be that I have more
late blooming cvs than I used to have.

We really need snow cover in our climate, but we often don't get it
here in northern MN. For some reason, they seem to get plenty of snow
200 miles south in Minneapolis, and they always get good snow cover 100
miles east in Duluth (lake effect), but we here in the mid-north are
sometimes left barren during the coldest months of the year.
