August bloom is most likely a "summer Rebloom". But confirmation would depend
on checking to see if  was on an increases or an original fan.

A repeat bloom or late spring bloom would have to do with how advanced the new
increases are at time plant went down for winter dormancy.  If advanced enough
in growth, (ie size) then it would have  chemical independence from mother
fan, and thus would not have vernalization reset by apical dominance, thus
could proceed to bloom. I would expect this to vary from cultivar to cultivar,
and is somewhat independent of "rebloom" genes per say. But would have to do
with secondary rebloom needs, that is fast plant growth and extra vigour and
plant energy. Thus plants that do this would have good plant energy ,ans
proabaly low mature leaf counts, thus would be good candidates to cross with
fall cyclic rebloomers to enhance fall cyclic rebloom.  But , unlikely to
indicate summer rebloom genes. Although in any program on rebloomers, these
genes could very well be floating around, as cyclic and summer rebloomers have
been crossed many times.

>From your data Betty, t would seem that some "sporadic' rebloomers could very
well be summer rebloomers, or at least carry Summer  Rebloomer genes.

closed weatehr conditions.

Digital  themometers with min/max  can be had for arounf $10.00 Just have to
make records each day. Ones that record for a month or tansmit data , or
download to computer can also be purchased, but at higher cost.
