I have New Perspective. I might look for pollen on it next spring and
cross it with something. What would you get if you can cross it with a
pom-pom? Would some come out flattie with big pom-poms?

As a general rule flatties should be considered pollen sterile as they do
not
normally develop pollen anthers. There are a few exceptions; I believe New
Perspective is rumored to produce pollen reliably, Rhythm produces pollen
but
may be diploid, there may be other newer varieties I've not observed
(Fluffy
Pillows?, is there anything newer?)

Need pictures of novely irises.

Bonnie Nichols was gracious enough to give
me a presentation on novelty and
space irises and judges training so I can
place on the region's web site.
She presented it to our regional meeting
this past weekend. It was
awesome and I now want to buy some of these
irises. I have acquired
permission to use the pictures from the
presentation for the website from the
photographers except for a few
pictures. Does anyone have any pictures on the
following that I can use to
replace the pictures in the presentation:

Victorine (Lemon 1940)

Joseph's Coat
Flat Rate

I find the concept of a variable color
patterning seen in Joseph's Coat
fascinating. I would like pictures showing
both color patterns seen in
Joseph's Coat. Bonnie said it was the only one
showing variable color
patterning.

I never knew flat tops went back so
far. I thought Japanesque, 1922 and
Rhythm, 1950 looked very exotic. Do
they grow in the desert? Are they
fertile?
