Re:SPEC: Maryland natives

I. virgnica grows along the shore of the upper Chester River, about 3
miles down river from my home in Millington, MD. It coexists nicely with
pickerel weed in the fresh water tidal marsh. I. versicolor is more
widespread on the upper Delmarva Penninsula. In addition to the river, I
have seen it growing alongside several ponds in Kent County. 

I have seen I. cristata in Cecil County, but not lower on the
Penninsula. I have also seen it in Baltimore, Harford and Howard
Counties.

Can anyone on the list confirm the presence of these irises in MD?  I
seem to remember from our previous discussions that virginica var.
virginica was not found that far north.
