Dear List,
I hope someone can help me with an argument that I am having with Steve.
I am concerned that the gopher subsoil poison pellets should not be used
near my blackberries or fruit trees because I feel the plants and trees
will absorb the poisons from the pellets. He feels that there is no danger
of this. Can anyone tell us if this could happen? The poison is called
2-{(p-chlorophenyl) phenylacetyl]- 1,3-indandlone...... .005%
I am sensitive to poisons and had to give away twenty of my rose bushes
because the systemic poisons we had to use made me sick. If the poison
pellets are by some chance absorbable, how far away from the trees and
edible plants should we keep the them?
Steve is anxious to stop all the gophers and we do have a lot of iris
planted around our blackberry vines and near our fruit trees. Please send
any information that will help!
Nervous about poisons,
Sharlyn
