I have to say again that this type of input excites me! And it occurs to me,
happy iris folks, that WE could be contributing to the body of knowledge on
what does and does not work against iris borer! We have a lot of folks
trying a lot of things... and we've had some excellent suggestions from
creative minds, and from learned minds. If someone were organized (and
knowledgable enough) to organize us into groups who would try different borer
controls... we might begin to come up with data that would be useful. I'm
not the person to organize, but I would certainly participate.
Furthermore, another good piece of information that this group could offer is
which irises thrive and which do not. I mean that just by posting a list of
irises that a person is growing... and posting next to each iris which ones
increase, which sulk, which die, etc.... we could have an organized bit of
data that might be useful.
Again.... I'm not the person to take on any of these projects... but I see
value in having this many folks in one place growing irises... and it seems a
shame that we are not putting our collective experiences to good use.
And that's what I have to say about THAT
Kathy Gump Guest..... where it's quite dark, thank you, and I slept through a
flu-thing all day yesterday so I'm rarin' to go!
