	Just a note re I. pallida (variegated). The two types: Aurea and
	Argentea are suited for different climes. I grow aurea here in the
	tundra and the flowers are more of a med.,slate blue and couldn't
	be considered 'pale' blue by anybody's eye.

	I have never seen argentea since it is not as hardy and has an
	infusion of a more tender species in its background. This or Jeff's

	suggestion of I. japonica seems more likely than the aurea strain
	known in commerce as 'Zebra' and pictured in Cooley's catalog, BTW.
