RE: Iris in Florida


If the variegated iris was growing in Florida, it probably is not pallida
variegata.  My guess would be Iris japonica variegata.

Anyone have any information on growing the subtropical/temperate evansias
in Florida or along the Gulf Coast?  Can't think of any reason why they
would not do well there--I.japonica, I. Wattii, I. confusa, et al.  Maybe
even I. speculatrix, if you could find it.
