Here's my bimonthly report on the I. versicolor seedlings, just because
they're still there. Mostly, anyway. One of the two outside seedlings got
dumped out of its pot and disappeared--I'm blaming a cat (I always blame the
cats). The other one is in the cold frame, where it is still green but
obviously not growing--it's about 6" tall. It's siblings in the house,
however, are having a great time (vernalization?--we don't need no stinking
vernalization!). They keep growing, now passing two feet tall, which looks a
little silly in a 2-inch pot. I'm going to have to break down and repot these
guys.
Oh, and the two Gladiolus dalennii seedlings are also growing in the house,
though they're much better behaved that the iris.
Barb in Santa Fe, where we had two inches of snow Tuesday night, but it was
all melted by mid-morning Wednesday.
