In a message dated 97-11-19 09:54:14 EST, you write:
<< The union realizes that they don't need to strike to affect Canada Post.
Mail volumes have dropped dramatically and rumour has it that there is
no appetite for a strike among postal workers.
>>
And the tragic thing is.... no disrespect intended.... that the mail delivery
is so bad that it would hardly make a difference if there WAS a strike!
Really! I don't know if mail is held up at the border, or if both countries
contribute to the snafu, but all I know is that it takes eight days for a
letter to get from my house to Hamilton... a drive of 1-1/2 hours. During
the JI Symposium, if I wanted to get something to Tony Huber within a week,
I'd send it overnight mail.
But, I digress. Got a BADS News to send out and the Irisborer newsletter
goes out next week and I want to make sure they get where they're going.
