I appreciate your concern, since I get the digest too. I used to try to
save important posts, but I now delete every one. The iris-l archives
are readily available and you can search by topic, author or date then
you can follow the thread. The address is:

That address is worth a bookmark. If it's a really memorable post, you
can find it in a hurry and keep all the extraneous matter off your hard
disk.
