LLoyd,

The buds of the Ungui's are covered with a very thick sheath which
probably protect them from frosts.  I also hardly ever water my plants
and find them quite drought tolerant.  I guess being from the
Mediterranean they would have to be.  I found the best time to
transplant them is right now when the rains begin and the weather cools.
This is when they start their new root growth.
