OT: Welcome


Kathy,
     Welcome to the Iris list.  I hope that you enjoy it.  So far, to the
best of my knowledge, we have only one other member in Alaska.  He is in
Juneau.  He has had some success with TB Irises there.  Some of our members
in the more northern of the "lower 48 states" are having good luck with
Iris setosa.  
     I wish you success with your hybridizing.  There is considerable
interest in this species of Iris.  It sort of surprises me that you can't
grow Siberians.  I have to wonder if it is because they don't get enough
ripening during the summer.
