RE:Blackberry Lily/Candy liliy

Christy, I like to try "exotic" things just for the heck of it, and the
"candy lilies" were some I tried probably 15 yrs. ago or so--I remember them
being prominantly advertised by the Park Seed Co.  They were easily raised
from seed, and were perfectly hardy here in upstate NY.  The flowers were
amazing combinations of speckles and color.  I had them for several years,
but eventually decided there was too much leaf for the amount of bloom, and
tried something else exotic--don't remember if I replaced them with peanuts
or sweet potatoes.  But they were one of my more successful "novelties."
