Several folks have reported that the Friday IRC:Chat messaage doesn't
get to them until Sat (or Sun). It pointed out a general problem with
AOL in that the service tends to pass judgement on which mail to deliver
and when, and that mail from list servers like Iris-L is often treated
like junk or fourth class mail.
Unfortunately I can't send the Friday IRC:Chat message out earlier in
the week because the IP address of the chat server changes daily. If you
are on AOL and aren't getting the message in a timely manner, you can
look up the IP address on Friday by sending your browser to:
http://www.vengers.com/page.htm
Towards the bottom of the first page is the IP address in the form of:
12.67.18.43
The other thing to do is to contact AOL customer support and ask them to
not delay the delivery of Iris-L mail. If enough Iris-L AOLers complain
maybe they will fix the problem.
