Dana, I wrote & asked Christy about this myself but she hasn't had a
chance to get back to me yet. Here's what a web search turned up:
Charley's Greenhouse Supplies (note diff. in spelling) has a website:
http://www.charleysgreenhouse.com/index2.html They are apparently
located somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. The website shows a Univent
Control selling for $39 -- not as cheap as $17 but still better than $50
-- with replacement cylinders selling for $12. Description says Univent
will lift a 15 lb. vent & has a quick release mounting bracket that
makes it easy to, for example, fully open a cold frame lid.
The website lists an toll free # (1-800-233-3248) plus a Fax/order line.
One can also request a catalog via the website.
