Hrummph! The Canadian climate - like the U.S. climate is extremely
varied. One cannot say "the Canadian climate." I, for instance,
live in zone 8 or 9, but my northern fellows (Churchill, Man., which
is on Hudson Bay, for instance and where I lived for several years)
cannot support grass or trees, just muskeg and beautiful alpines.
Not really offended, Cheryl Oke (having a wonderful time on
iris-talk, My husband asked me whether I was trying to find another
husband since I spend more time on iris-talk than on him these days -
a slight exaggeration!)
