The photo sent by Heather and Bernard *was* a great picture, *BUT*

LET ME BE PERFECTLY CLEAR

The seventh of the list policies sez:

7) Attachments. Do not send binary attachments, such as digitized images, to
the list. 

PERIOD.

There are lots of great pictures out there, but if everybody starts sending
them the download time for iris-talk mail would skyrocket. The message load is
already heavy enough. There are lots of subscribers that do not have the time
or the file space to accommodate pictures. 

Since there is no way to say this picture is ok and that is not and I don't
want to be in the position of arbiter, no pictures is the list policy.

There are several web page owners (including me) that will host pictures that
you would like people to see. That is the appropriate way to display your
favorite photo. Contact me by private email, and I will be glad to post a
picture to my web site. Tom Little has the original "Cyber Cork Board" and,
last I knew at any rate, was more than willing to post pictures for people.
Other volunteers out there?

The list policies were designed with the benefit of all in mind, and good
citizenship on the list means adhering to these policies.
