Yes, Juri, SUKY got the best from its parents, VIOLET MIRACLE and
VICTORIA FALLS. It blooms early as does CLARENCE. I took a stalk of SUKY
to our spring show and had a number of people order it from me. Also, it
won a blue ribbon with only one open on the stalk.
From the R & I, it is described as:
TB, 37", EM. S. white, flushed light violet around edge, violet
midrib; F. medium to deep violet, very large pure white zonal area extending
from hafts to nearly halfway down; white beard, yellow deep in throat;
ruffled, pronounced spicy fragrance.
In summary, I would describe it as a dark amoena with a white fall
spot....very striking.
This is Clarence Mahan's baby and is named for his wife. SUKY was
introduced in 1991.
