Like Johnny Appleseed, I have been dispersing rhizomes of
the above cultivar far and wide here in Texas. From three quarter
sized rhizomes three years ago, it has now spread to three parts
the county, all the way to Harris county (Houston) and found a
home in southern Tarrant county (Fort Worth). A bushel basket
is still sitting in the stock trough hoping I can find them housing.
Sort of like waiting on death row for them. Will they get a pardon
or reprieve, or will it be the compost pile?
That thing has grown like Johnson grass! Even the drought this
summer couldn't stop it.
