Kathy,
First of all, thanks for the blow-by-blow description of your trip
to AIS meeting. That was my laugh for the day!
Your description of Dave Niswonger was very accurate. He and Marie
are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We showed our garden
in the 1984 Region 18 Spring meeting and we had a nice visit with them
in our back yard, the first time I met them. Several times since and
always a perfect gentle gentleman.
I am an AIS member and have been since ???. Forever, it seems.
Joined our local club in Hutchinson in 1952 or thereabouts, so have been
for a while. Wish there was a club around here on the western slope,
but do not know of one, and if you think I'm going to drive across the
Rockies to the Denver club in the winter on the snowpacked, icy roads,
think again! We had our first snowfall this morning, covering the
ground, but not much more, but more predicted.
