I'm keen to try solarization here, but doubt that it will have much
effect on onion weed, which is one determined little weed. Years ago I
put up a pool for the children. I dug out a circular area, leveled it
and added 6" sand, on which to place the pool. A blade of onion weed
grew up through the sand, and punctured the heavy duty pool liner, which
was holding in 3' depth of water. I would not have believed this
possible.
