From whence do you propose one collect such information? AIS has not rounded
it up from diverse external sources and printed it up to turn a profit. The
information has been presented first to AIS by the hybridizers and such
presentation and acceptance and the subsequent publication by AIS has
conferred legitimacy on the iris. In short, it is AIS information and the only
alternative to referring to it as I see it would be to run around with a
yardstick and a color chart and whip up some more on however many thousand
irises one could find.
