<< Thought you were going to quit this business? :>) I tell you, that is a
 congenital disease.>>

I can't help it. The Devil jumps up and he says to me, Daughter, look at that
pretty pretty bush, now don't you think it would be real fine near the little
camellia...... >>

<< Taking a break from relocating half the plants in the yard, it seems. Have
been receiving nice response from the rooster crowd. Hope it struts its
feathers for them. Robt Turley, Lake Charles, was one. We had a short
discussion on irises in his part of the world. I'm trying to hook my
sister and brother-in-law on those which will grow in the Houston area. >>

I like Turley. I sent his some seeds last year and he talks to me about my
kumquat when it cops attitude.

<< He does not like I. pseaudacorus. Considers it a foreign weed.>.

Balls. Euopean people are foreign weeds. That whole argument is asinine.

<< Noticed in Shear's book that he referred to himself a Johnny Iris-seed re
spreading LAs around. Took them with him when going fishing and
left them planted at the water edges as well as giving them away.>>

I wish he would spread something around that didn't host the borer so
successfully, but I suppose the voles need to eat something.

<< Not a bad book. This would be the one to start with for beginner
irisarians. Basic, simple, accessible and non- threatening. Later, tho, I
think they would still want WOI.>>

Childs Little Golden Book of Irises. They will have to have something with
more meat when the problems start. I raved about the photos for a reason.

<< Have to dig some I. unguicularis. Trading some of mine for some
crocosmia. We arranged it last winter. Will have to read up on croc.
Don't have any, never tried it before. Have tried to figure out he best
way to bundle up unguicularis for shipping. Mine was an aggravation
to get started and it would be nice if the plant didn't take so long to get
 going.>>

Dammit, don't you thin Cyclops bower too far down! That 'possum has a right to
his unguicularis. He is your 'possum and you must take care of him. Why, when
I look at that photo of him looking into the sunlight like Saul getting the
message my heart just leaps up and I want to go run into the house for a
persimmon for him. Little wretch.

Crocosmia is cool. You will like it. All the boys love crocosmia, too.

I found a totally inadequate photograph Moonlight for you. I will send it
along.

Back out to the yard. Just came in to pee and see if anyone knew about my
bush. Sunny, crisp and wonderful today and my bad foot is not hurting.
Invictus and I have been busy.

Anner--moving fast and talking plain.
