Hello all. Since it's winter here I am not activity involved in my irises
outside so I am trying to get all my data on my irises. I have developed a
page with some iris pictures that I have that are unknown cultivators. If
anyone out there has a few spare minutes and would like to help identify
these I would greatly appreciate it.
Pat,
The yellow and violet bicolor IB on your web page reminds me of LE SABRE
(Plough, '64), an IB that I once grew. It has been so long since I have had
it, however, that I couldn't say for sure that it is the same as your iris,
but I think it is a possibility.
The yellow TB in the photo with the statue of the Madonna is obviously an
older one. There are quite a few yellow iris of that vintage, but I think
OLA KALA (J. Sass, '43) is a possibility.
Again, one must be very cautious about making identifications of iris
cultivars from photos, and I only offer these suggestions as possibilities
to follow up on, not as positive identifications.
