The Spoon's article gave parentage, which was nice - helps me guess
whether the irises they describe will grow here or not.
Clarence's haiku was a scream, actually pretty heavy duty and thought
provoking after I quit laughing. Does copyright forbid repeating it
here?
Enjoying waiting for one last stalk of Harvest of Memories to open in
the living room - this stalk developed in the clump with mature stalks
that I dug and potted back in...early October? It was looking like
blanched asparagus at first, so I took it outdoors during the mild
spells, and it immediately did a "U" turn (wilted flat on its face). It
has gradually recovered and is shaped like a corkscrew, but the blooms
are developing normally.
Any doubts about how I mistreat irises?

many many hard freezes gone by, but keeping petunias and summer squash
alive under Reemay to enjoy the mild spells in between. Ground is
finally a bit moist, at least the top 8 inches.
