Hi Talk-ers,
My I. japonica variegata (I got mine under the name Aphrodite) rarely
blooms, maybe once every three years if I am lucky. I grow mine out in
the garden and it does fine in my zone 8 location. I notice it burns in
full sun so I now grow it in part sun/ part shade. I no longer pull out
the all green fans because I have found that all green fans will give
birth to variegated fans. I have convinced myself that a wandering stand
of variegated japonica with a few green fans thrown in is more
interesting to look at...........(or maybe I am too lazy, I dunno)
