I think I remember that Flower Fresh is a combination of citric acid,
sugar (glucose I think), and some sort of antibacterial agent.

I have found that a little Sprite (citric acid and glucose) and a couple
of drops of clorox works great. The idea is to give the plant some food
and keep bacteria from clogging up the capillaries.

I keep a bottle of a dilute solution of clorox handy and just splash a
litle of it and a litle Sprite in the vase. Don't use a diet drink...
