Cult:OT? Lights

Hi,
The local Home depot has a sale on fluorescent
fixtures. Now I could use more light in the basement but I'm wondering
if they would be of any use with starting seed? I got some seed from
Signa. More then I could have dreamed of. Thanks to Signa. I had intend
to start them late enough to take advantage of mother nature's sunlight
but if I'm getting the lights anyway.
