CULT: I just potted them today

Greetings to All!
I planted a lot of TBs about six weeks ago, and most are doing
well. My sources sent a lot of free "extras", but I forgot to plant
them until now.
What I did was place all of them into pots, although some did
not look too healthy, and rather dry, to put it mildly.
According to the most reliable weather reports, most of
Michigan will get a frost on this Thursday night/Friday morning,
the first of the year for right HERE.
What suggestions do the list members have for me to
minimize the mortality rate? (Other than "plant earlier", or
words to that effect)
