It isn't dry in spring here and during summer the TB withstand a fair amount
of drying. I'll have to see how I go on the other types. We use Surflan for
weed control, so I can't germinate in the soil. I lose to either the weeds
or the Surflan. I prefer to transplant into pots for logicistical reasons.
Once the seedlings are a decent size I can move them in bags rather than
cart the pots down to the bottom of the property. So I live with the
watering problem. Have a bore so our costs aren't too bad. Mostly the inc is
only about 4 fans in the first year so I can separate the plants fairly
easily.
