OT: other iris lists

A while back Jan mentioned a couple of other iris lists specific to
types of iris. Some of you may be interested in checking out the iris form
at the Garden Web, or www.gardenweb.com/forums/iris/. This forum seems to
be a growing iris forum, it starts with the most recently posted messages,
but has a search function at the end of the page where you can search by
topics. You don't have to be a member to post to the forum, it is open to
anyone, it is unmoderated, and you can post images with your message. It
also links all replies to the original post together for viewing. You
don't receive all posted messages through email, although if you post a
question or topic, anyone responding to your topic will additionally be sent
to your emailbox.
Another nice feature, is that Garden Web is actually a conglomerate
of many garden forums, so if you want to participate in discussions on
roses, hostas, bonsias... a wide range of other plants, or garden related:
composting, seed exchanges, irrigation, ponds... all of their other listed
forums are just a page away at www.gardenweb.com/forums. They do have a
way to subscribe to their emailing lists, but you don't have to. Their
main web site is at www.gardenweb.com.
The Garden Web iris forum has folks seeking good basic iris
information; I've posted a couple of replies myself to help... this forum
looks promising. I'm not trying to take anything away from iris-talk
because I think iris-talk is terrific... I just found this additional forum
worthy enough to place in my favorite bookmarks.
