How did you get your specimens of Iris lacustris? I know of a
few protected areas here in Michigan, but taking them from their
native habitat is strictly forbidden! I know of other rare and
endangered species in the USA which grow in places that are not
revealed to the public, for fear that collectors will "love" them
into extinction.
