Well Chris didn't write that Laurie did but... when I was a teen I stayed
with the Shaker Sisters in Maine USA. The Shakers were a religious cult
popular in the 1800s that were self sufficent and utilitarian and seperated
the men and women at night thus there are only a few left. But...Sister
Mildred Barker would dose me with two tablespoons of burdock tea twice a day
to get rid of pimples. Very very disgusting.
