Florida is not known for Bearded Irises, but... I live in southwestern
Marion County, and am having luck growing Reblooming Bearded Irises in pots.
Here is what I would recommend. Stick with Rebloomers. Use large pots--at
least 3 gallon size, preferably 5 or 7 gallon size. If the pots are not a
light color, get some Krylon paint at Wal-Mart and spray paint the pots
white. If possible, put the Irises in a place where they will get a lot of
sun in fall through early spring, but will be in some light shading during
the heat of the day in summer. Feel free to contact me further on this if
