I read somewhere that burdock was the inspiration for the inventor of
velcro, so I guess it has more purpose than keeping me busy picking
it out of Chuckie and Indie, the wire-haired fox terriers.
My pet peeve weed is american vetch, it has a very tough stem but
always breaks off leaving the root intact. It winds around the
desirable plant which makes it difficult to control by any means
other than hand picking.
