And pens which will last for seasons--
I finally found my pen--which I have been trying for several years now--as
said yesterday, I use pieces of Venetian blind for the labels--and write
with pencil--if the label will only be there a short time--one season--but
if I want it to last longer--I use:
GARDEN MARKER Gro-Mark Garden Products--outdoor use--xylene free
Alcohol based ink. Water and fade resistant
DP Industries, Inc. N. Vasselboro,ME # GM08
The above is all that is written on the pen--I found it at a Nursery here in
town, and she special ordered a couple dozen for us--for labeling
leaves/labels for our sale--
Last year I tried it on several TB'S--and this spring when we were cleaning
up the Iris bed--here were the dried leaves--with the writing still readable
on it--
I have no idea who she ordered the pens from--but if talkers want a pen like
this and cannot find it at their Nursery--let me know (off talk) and I will
go and find out--
Forgot the most important part--she charged me her cost--$1.76 each! That is
one reason why the club bought enough for every member--and said--USE
THESE!!!
Carryl in western Montana--where summer and fall are gone--s'posed to be
down to 25 tonight!!!!
