RE: Re:OT:Labels

Despite what Avery says about not running their sheets through the printer
more than once, I regularly do. This way I can just do a few when I need
them. I haven't had any problems. I use a HP Laserjet 6P.
It's just the radical in me, I guess. ;)

  Hey Dana,

I have heard from other gardeners about the Brother labels and it seems
that
the further North you, the more quickly the laminates separate on the
labels. They seem to hold up well in the sun and heat, but breakdown when
  hit by the cold freezes.

I have the Brother P-Touch PC machine that hooks up to the computer and
am
able to print labels directly from a database. It also allows great
  customizing.

The Avery labels come in the 30 sheets but also in the smaller 10 label
sheets. You may want to try the small sheets if you are not going to
print
  30 labels at once.

  Cheers,
  Iris Moose

  =============================

Iris Moose, those are great pictures of labels. However, I have had
different luck with labels. I use both the clear laser labels and the
brother p-touch. For me the laser labels are easier but the brother are
nicer. Both seem to last equally well. I don't have a problem with
either
type peeling early. For me the biggest problem is not hitting them with
the
weed eater <G>. The big difference between the two for me is that I like
the layout from the brother labels better. The brother labels are also
more
expensive. However, there is the benefit of being able to do one or one
hundred where as with the laser labels you are not supposed to run a
partial
sheet through the printer so it is 30 at a time. Anyway, my 2 cents
worth.
