Hello Out There !!!
I live in Tucson, Arizona. I am retired and trying to learn to be a
gardener of sorts. I made an approximately 4 X 6 foot amd 18 inch
high Above Ground Iris Bed during the summer. On September 23rd I
purchased some Iris Rhizomes from the local Iris Society here in
Tucson, Arizona. I followed the planting instructions given me.
They suggested not planting the Iris until the daytime temperatures
were under 90 degrees. This didn't occur until October 1st. So I
planted the rhizomes them. Now two weeks later I am just seeing
little new sprouts about a quarter of an inch high coming up. Do you
think that this is a normal development so far. The area in which I
planted the Iris had been in the full sun until approximately 2:00
p.m. during the summer. Now that the sun is lower in the South I
only get full sun until approximately 11:00 a.m.
Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated.
