Re: Rebloom Show in Southern California

Gerry,

Congratulations! What fun. Makes me wish I had a regional meeting
reachable from here.

What is your other experience with Hand Painted? I got it this year,
as one of a number of foundation plants for my second hybridizing
program, centering around B Blyth's Electrique. Crossing with both
subtle and vivid cvs with that blend of rose-violet-metallic blue,
such as Conspiracy, Five O'Clock World, Cranberry Ice, Quiet Riot,
Mystic Warrior, Mescalero Chief, Suttons' IB Candy Rock, et al
Blyth's subtle masterpieces like Witching, Lilac Wine....

Have you tried to cross Hand Painted, either way? Last spring,
Electrique was not only my favorite TB color combo, but my best
pollen bearer and setter of pods (on others, though I know now it
will work either way.)
