Al,
What first looks like leaf spot here turns out to be drift from crop
dusters spraying defoliant. What a pain!! Doesn't look like any serious
damage but it could have been. I must admit I was curious how I got leaf
spot when we haven't had rain in recent history and are 5" behind normal (we
were 4" ahead the end of May). At least that explained the mystery.

I finished cleaning the iris beds today. Tomorrow I'll blow out the fallen
tree
leaves and finish the liming. I noticed, in the middle of this last bed,
leaf
spot was rather rampant. This year, I sprayed with Cleary twice and Funginex
once. I was surprised to see as much of the leaf spot. I went overboard on
development and ran out of time for maintenance. It's not too late to spray
for the leaf spot? I ordered and received Physan 20 for the moss. It is
also
effective for leaf spot.
This is the bed where I had moss so bad. I sprayed with the Dawn dish soap
w/ triclosan. It is not a cure-all for moss. There are clear patches of
green moss, Most of the moss is gray and I assume is dead.
