ahhh....it's that old Black Magic????

Actually, I am not sure.  We had a fairly wet spring, about 4" above normal
through May.  Since then we have only had 3" of rain totally, which is about
9" below normal bringing us to a total of 5" behind for the year. Therefore,
wonderful rainfall did not cause this.  Our temps were warmer than usual all
summer and still are pretty much, so no cooling trend to trigger rebloom.
The only thing we have done this year that we have not done in the past is
to water.  Heavily and regularly, starting in May when the rain stopped we
started watering and put a minimum of an inch a week on each bed.  IMHO that
is the reason.  I hope so, because that is repeatable next year,
