Yes that is true. Like heavy metals and borers! LOL. I think your system is
wise. I do plant with a super phosphate and that gives a strong start.
Usually i don't want to plant after labor day because we frost and the roots
don't really get settled in and I find more heave in the spring.
This year is amazing. The annuals are huge and blooming like crazy here as we
have not had a frost and usually we get one early Septenmber to kill the
ragweed bloom.
