Double Vision shows the same PBF characteristics for me in early spring.
Purple coloration was also observed on the bud spathes, and there is a slight
hint of purple along the center leaf margin at the base of the fan. It tried
to rebloom last November, but frost killed the developing bloomstalk.
Bloomstalks in spring were stunted due to a combination of a dry winter and
two April freezes. I liked the flower, so I hope you get a second chance to
see it. Despite a brutally hot and dry summer here, tall bearded rebloom has
been a pleasant surprise.
