Re: HYB: HIST: in general curiosity


Someone crossed an oldie, I think Lent Williamson(oldie) with 
Champagne Elegance(modern) and posted the pics on the photos; very 
interesting offspring; I would say they were a blend of both parents.
I think if you crossed two historics, you would only have a very 
small chance of duplicating hybridizers results; just because there 
are so many possibilities.
Its almost if your parents had more kids, would they look like you? 
Probably somewhat, but still at least a little different looking.
Still, I would like to see more people experimenting with oldie to 
modern cross, then cross the offspring together, and you would 
probably get some very modern iris with some very different patterns.
If only I weren't such a 'brown' thumb, I would do it myself,
