Here, too.  As much as I enjoy growing irises, I am not even slightly 
inclined to coddle weak plants.  If they want to live here, they're just 
going to have to tough it out.  If they don't have what it takes to do 
that on their own, they can go ahead and die.  I am still confident that 
over time I will discover enough tough survivors to fill my beds with 
trouble free irises I can rely on from season to season and year to year. 
 No iris wimps allowed!
