Re: HYB: cross to seedlings

LOL - well, what can I say.....I sometimes think our winter months have
at least 6 weeks, but I would have thought summer months might be
shorter....12 weeks should be plenty of time for a pod to ripen!

I had already figured out something was wrong with all that in depth
commentary. I could have saved myself a lot of hot air by considering
when most of my crosses are made (early to mid May) and when I hope they
will germinate - late October thru November. The SDB X TB seeds came up
last week.

I'll leave it to somebody who can count and do simple arithmetic a
little more reliably to figure out how long that is for sure, but I
<think> that is about 6 months as you first suggested, Christian. The
SDB cross was made earlier, so actually comes out to about the same
length of time.

I said with my usual ability to do simple arithmetic:
>Pods may take longer than 12 weeks to mature - I've had some go almost
2
>months.

< Hey Linda, just how many weeks do you folks have in a month down there
in
TN? ;-) Laurie - uneasily anticipating the months of Nov-March which
always seem to last about 8 weeks each here in the frigid north>
