That number is an interesting bit of info...My guess, if you are off on
your estimate or memory, you would be low. Thinking this due to the number
registered Daylilies there are, and I know there are more different types
of Iris: Germanica, Japanese, Siberian, Dutch, Pacific Coast, Aril and
Arilbred, Louisiana, Reticulated Irises, Juno, Spuria, Species... I am sure
I do not know them all. Wonder if the AIS has a list with the break down in
varieties...

Thank you, Cathy. If your ability to vaguely recollect something is
similar to my own, I'll assume the accurate number is somewhere around
40,000 and 70,000 (actually, that might be narrowing it a bit too far in
terms of my own memory). ;-)
What about the breakdown per type of iris registered? Anybody know?
